Schematic design is where a project takes shape. We begin with a requirements meeting to define goals, budget, and constraints, then collect accurate GPS base data and develop the typical layouts that establish spacing, coverage, and overall design intent.
It is the phase that gets everyone aligned — owner, superintendent, and architect — before detailed engineering begins.
We collect GPS base data ourselves so the design is grounded in the real geometry of the course, not an approximation. Typical schematics then set the spacing and coverage standards the detailed design will follow.
By the end of schematic design, the design direction, water strategy, and coverage approach are settled and documented.
New-course builds and full renovations entering the design stage — often working alongside the golf course architect.
Tell us about your project and we'll outline the right phases, scope, and approach for your course.
